Refund Policy for Mentoring Bookings and Payments
This Refund Policy explains when an InvestWen mentoring payment may qualify for a refund, rescheduling, account credit or individual review.
Mandatory consumer rights remain applicable where they cannot lawfully be excluded.
May qualify for a refund or rescheduling.
Alternative booking or refund should be offered.
Generally not refundable solely due to investment results.
Duplicate or incorrect charges can be reviewed.
How Common Booking Situations Are Normally Handled
The terms displayed during checkout or booking confirmation form part of the applicable transaction conditions. Mandatory rights under applicable law are not limited by this summary.
At Least 24 Hours Before the Session
A cancellation submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled start may generally qualify for a refund, account credit or rescheduling.
Less Than 24 Hours Before the Session
A late cancellation is not automatically refundable because the scheduled time may no longer be available for another client.
Mentor Cancellation or Non-Attendance
When the mentor cannot provide the confirmed session, the client may choose a reasonable replacement session or a refund of the affected payment.
Service Already Delivered
A completed mentoring session is generally not refundable solely because the client disliked a market outcome or chose not to apply the education.
| Situation | Normal position | Potential resolution | Important condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cancellation 24+ hours before start | Generally eligible | Refund, credit or rescheduling. | Request must be received through an official route before the deadline. |
| Cancellation within 24 hours | Individual review | Possible rescheduling or partial accommodation. | Depends on circumstances, prior history and mentor availability. |
| Client does not attend | Normally not refundable | Exceptional review may be requested. | The mentor must have been available through the confirmed session route. |
| Mentor cancels or does not attend | Generally eligible | Replacement session or refund. | Applies to the affected session payment. |
| Material platform failure | Review required | Rescheduling, credit or refund. | The failure must have prevented meaningful delivery of the session. |
| Duplicate or incorrect charge | Eligible after verification | Correction or refund of the duplicate amount. | Transaction details may be required. |
| Completed mentoring session | Normally not refundable | Conduct or material non-delivery concerns can still be reviewed. | Dissatisfaction with later investment performance is not sufficient by itself. |
| Mandatory consumer right applies | Legal right preserved | Resolution required by applicable law. | Jurisdiction-specific conditions and exceptions may apply. |
Cancellation at Least 24 Hours in Advance
Standard early-cancellation route
Unless different conditions were clearly displayed for the booking, a client who submits a cancellation request at least 24 hours before the scheduled start may generally request one of the following:
- A refund of the affected session payment.
- Account credit toward another eligible session.
- Rescheduling to another available time.
The client may be asked to identify the booking and the preferred resolution.
Late Cancellation
Request received within 24 hours of the session
A late cancellation is not automatically eligible for a cash refund because the reserved mentoring time may no longer be available for another client.
InvestWen may consider rescheduling, account credit or another reasonable accommodation based on the circumstances, mentor availability and prior booking history.
Client Non-Attendance
Confirmed session missed without sufficient notice
When the mentor was available through the confirmed session route but the client did not attend, the session payment is normally non-refundable.
Exceptional circumstances may still be submitted for individual review, but approval is not guaranteed.
Repeated Rescheduling
Preventing indefinite reservation of mentor time
Repeated rescheduling may be limited where it materially disrupts mentor availability or prevents reasonable administration of the booking.
A new booking or additional payment may be required after repeated late changes, subject to applicable law and the conditions communicated to the client.
When a Confirmed Session Cannot Be Delivered
A client should not be charged for a mentoring session that the confirmed mentor or InvestWen cannot meaningfully provide.
Mentor Cancellation
The confirmed mentor becomes unavailable
When a mentor cancels a confirmed session, the client may normally choose between:
- Rescheduling with the same mentor.
- A comparable session with another available mentor.
- A refund of the affected session payment.
- Account credit accepted by the client.
Mentor Non-Attendance
The client attended but the mentor did not
When records reasonably confirm mentor non-attendance, the affected booking may qualify for:
- A replacement session without an additional session charge.
- A refund of the affected payment.
- Another resolution accepted by the client.
Material Platform Failure
A technical issue prevents service delivery
A significant platform failure may qualify for review when it prevented the session from starting or made meaningful delivery impossible.
- Complete booking-system failure.
- Confirmed meeting route unavailable.
- Severe audio or video failure affecting the full session.
- Other verified technical non-delivery.
Client-Side Technical Issue
Device, browser or internet problem
A problem affecting only the client’s device, browser, connection or local environment does not automatically create a refund right.
- Review may consider whether the mentor remained available.
- Rescheduling may be offered where reasonable.
- Users should test the session route before the booking.
- Individual circumstances may still be considered.
Completed Mentoring Sessions
Educational time and service already delivered
A session that was substantially delivered is generally not refundable solely because the client:
- Disagreed with an educational opinion.
- Decided not to use the discussed framework.
- Expected different market performance.
- Experienced a later investment loss.
- Did not obtain a guaranteed financial outcome.
A material non-delivery or professional-conduct concern may still be reviewed separately.
Investment Performance
No profit or loss-based refund promise
Refund eligibility is not determined by the subsequent performance of a stock, fund, bond, crypto asset, portfolio, strategy or market.
InvestWen provides educational mentoring and does not guarantee profit, capital preservation or successful investment timing.
Failure to Attend or Prepare
Client responsibility for the confirmed booking
A refund is not normally available when the client misses the session, joins too late for meaningful delivery or fails to access the confirmed route despite the mentor being available.
Violation of Platform Rules
Unsafe, abusive or prohibited conduct
A session may be ended without a refund where a client engages in harassment, fraudulent conduct, credential requests, recording without required permission or another material violation of applicable terms.
Mandatory rights and the specific circumstances remain relevant.
External Provider Charges
Non-refundable third-party costs
Some payment, currency-conversion, banking or external-provider fees may be controlled by third parties and may not be recoverable by InvestWen.
Such limitations do not remove rights that apply under mandatory law.
Unused Sessions
Remaining undelivered package value
A request concerning unused prepaid sessions may be reviewed according to the package terms, applicable law and any services already delivered.
Where a refund is approved, the value of completed sessions may be deducted using the price structure applicable to the package.
Promotional or Discounted Packages
Recalculation of delivered services
If a discounted package is partially refunded, completed sessions may be recalculated according to the conditions presented for that package.
A refund calculation should not exceed the amount actually paid for the refundable portion.
Account Credits
Alternative to returning money
InvestWen may offer account credit as an alternative resolution. A client is not required to accept credit where a cash refund is required by applicable law or expressly available under the booking terms.
Credit Expiration
Terms communicated when credit is issued
If an account credit has a validity period, that period should be communicated when the credit is issued.
Any mandatory legal requirements concerning expiry or stored value remain applicable.
Duplicate Charge
The same payment appears more than once
A verified duplicate charge should be corrected or refunded to the extent that it exceeds the valid amount due for the booking.
The client may be asked to provide the booking reference, payment date, amount and limited transaction identifier.
Incorrect Amount
The payment differs from the confirmed charge
An incorrect amount may be reviewed against the booking confirmation, payment-provider record, applicable taxes and any authorized additional charge.
Unauthorized Transaction
A payment the account holder does not recognize
A person who believes a transaction was unauthorized should contact the relevant bank or payment provider promptly and submit a payment inquiry through the official InvestWen contact route.
InvestWen may need to preserve and review transaction records.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Direct resolution without restricting legal rights
Clients are encouraged to contact InvestWen before initiating an avoidable payment dispute so the transaction can be reviewed.
This request does not limit any lawful right to contact a bank, payment provider or consumer authority.
Identify the Booking
Provide the client name, booking reference, session date and email address associated with the booking.
Explain the Reason
State whether the request concerns cancellation, mentor non-attendance, technical failure, duplicate payment, incorrect amount or another issue.
Select a Preferred Resolution
Identify whether you prefer a refund, rescheduling, replacement session or account credit. The requested option may remain subject to eligibility.
Provide Non-Sensitive Evidence
Include relevant confirmation messages, timestamps or limited transaction information without exposing passwords, authentication codes or full payment credentials.
Request Review
InvestWen will review the booking record, timing, service-delivery information, applicable terms and any mandatory consumer rights.
Initial Review
Booking and payment information is checked
InvestWen aims to review a complete refund request within a reasonable period. Many straightforward requests may be reviewed within five business days.
Complex conduct, payment or technical questions may require additional time and information.
Refund Decision
Eligibility and calculation are explained
When reasonably possible, the response should identify whether the request was approved, partially approved, declined or resolved through rescheduling or account credit.
Original Payment Method
Standard destination for approved refunds
An approved monetary refund will normally be returned through the original payment method unless that method is unavailable or another lawful arrangement is required.
Bank and Provider Processing
Posting time is controlled externally
After InvestWen initiates an approved refund, the payment provider, card network or financial institution may require additional time to post the amount.
InvestWen cannot guarantee the exact posting date controlled by an external provider.
Currency Differences
Exchange rates may change
When the payment and refund involve currency conversion, the returned amount displayed in the client’s account may differ because of exchange-rate movements or provider charges.
A Legitimate Refund Review Does Not Require Your Password or Authentication Code
Be cautious when someone unexpectedly promises a refund or recovery in exchange for an advance payment, remote device access or financial-account credentials.
Jurisdiction-Specific Rights
Consumer protections differ between locations
A client may have rights in addition to those described in this policy. Such rights may concern cancellation, non-delivery, misleading information, unauthorized charges or defective service.
Service Performance During a Withdrawal Period
Rules may depend on consent and service commencement
In some jurisdictions, special rules may apply when a client asks for a service to begin during a statutory withdrawal period.
The enforceable result depends on applicable law and the circumstances of the booking.
Conflict Between Policy and Law
Mandatory law controls where required
If a provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal right, the mandatory legal requirement applies to the extent of the conflict.
Consumer Authority or Payment Provider
External complaint rights are not removed
Nothing in this policy prevents a client from contacting an applicable consumer authority, bank, card provider or payment service where they have a lawful reason to do so.
